Crumb Quilts, quilting as you go

I am having lots of fun using scrap batting and scrap fabric.  I have 16 blocks completed and plan to do many more. 

Quilts of Valor

Honoring those who have served in our military is a hallmark of the Quilts of Valor organization.  Today, the 1st Friday group worked on quilts of Valor.  They are wonderful.

I decided on the dark gray Kona borders.  It needs a top and bottom and then to the quilt machine. 

A Mouse in the House

This panel was bought with someone special in mind but as things happen, it might be a bit too young as I took too long to make it. The quilt will evolve.  Quilting will really make it nice.

I have many panels.  They are so cute!  

A friend called to tell me that she can't find Dick and Jane fabric.  A friend of hers is on the hunt for it.

I knew exactly where to find some, in my stash.

It started as a charm pack. Add some background and you have a lovely charming baby quilt.

Cowboys

Every once in a bit, I buy someone else's project that was started.  The package was marked string bag and had some cowboy fabric in it.  I had a cowboy panel and a new quilt has begun.  

Block magazine wall hanging

The pattern for this crib size quilt was actually for a wall hanging.  Nah, I like baby quilts, so I made the back bigger and bingo.

I love this quilt but a cousin loved it more so off it goes. 

working on next year's graduation gift

I'm clearing out some row by row quilt blocks and I have made some changes to one of them.  Emma is in ROTC and plans military service as her future so I am going to make her quilt with some extra red white and blue parts.  This star is part of a Nebraska themed row.  Watch for more installments.

Gracie gifted the quilt she made for grandpa Ed. 

Memory quilt for Wesley

He had a sparkle and a smile but was only with his mom and dad for a few short weeks.  

I used 2 recieving blanks and some of his clothes.  It was the hardest quilt I have ever made. 

Graduation 2023 for Makenzie

It is a number of row by row blocks and i made it as a quilt as you go quilt adding her name and her scool.  I started this several years and planned to give it to her.  Another great success.
